Reduce heat and glare, help protect interiors from UV exposure, improve daytime privacy and make sun-filled rooms easier to enjoy – with a film selected for your glass, your goals and your home’s appearance.
Sun-facing glass can make certain rooms uncomfortable at the exact time you want to use them. Solar-control film rejects a significant portion of solar energy at the glass.
Harsh daylight can make televisions, workspaces and living areas difficult to enjoy. The right film reduces glare while maintaining a usable view.
Lumen’s two standard films block more than 98% of UV under published test conditions, helping reduce a major contributor to fading.
Film can improve the performance of existing glass and may reduce cooling demand; actual comfort and energy results depend on glass, exposure, building conditions and use.
Reflective film can make it more difficult to see inside during the day when the exterior is brighter, without promising nighttime privacy.
Samples and professional guidance help balance visible light, exterior reflectivity, privacy and performance before the final selection.

Not every project needs the same first step. Tell us about the space and Lumen will help determine whether a preliminary estimate or a more detailed consultation is appropriate.
For unique rooms, glass types and project goals, Lumen can recommend additional architectural film solutions after reviewing the application.

We discuss the rooms, goals, approximate scope, glass, access and timing
For qualified projects, we review appearance, performance and product/glass compatibility before final selection.
Final pricing reflects verified measurements, access, film, removal and agreed scope.
The work area is prepared, nearby surfaces are protected and the glass is cleaned for installation
Film is installed carefully, edges and panes are inspected, and the work area is left clean.
The customer receives cure/care guidance and applicable warranty/workmanship documentation
Lumen provides primarily on-site residential and commercial window-film service from Argyle to select communities throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Neither is universally better. DRDS 15 offers strong performance with lower exterior reflectivity, while SYDS 15 provides higher solar rejection, glare reduction and daytime privacy. Both use the same standard price; the final choice depends on the glass, room and desired appearance.
Both standard films are reflective, and SYDS 15 is more reflective than DRDS 15. Lumen reviews samples and connected elevations so the appearance can be evaluated before final selection.
Reflective film can improve daytime privacy when it is brighter outside than inside. Angles, shade, landscaping and nearby properties also affect the result.
When interior lights are on and it is darker outside, reflective privacy can weaken or reverse. Film should not replace shades or coverings where guaranteed nighttime privacy is required.
Compatibility and warranty treatment depend on the glass, seal system, existing window warranty, film and installation. Lumen must review the application and provide only the coverage information supported by current approved manufacturer documents.
Pricing depends on the film, pane sizes and counts, access, floor level, removal, glass conditions and project complexity. Lumen has a $350 minimum service charge and offers a preliminary-estimate path for straightforward projects.
Not always. Large, complex, design-sensitive or specialty projects benefit from guided consultation and samples. Straightforward projects can often begin with measurements, counts, access details and photos.
Timing varies with pane count and size, access, removal, site conditions and film. Lumen confirms the expected schedule with the final scope rather than promising one duration for every home.
Some temporary moisture, haze or small water pockets can be normal during curing. The installer provides care and cure guidance for the selected film and conditions.
Often yes, but access must be reviewed. Include floor level, approximate height and photos so Lumen can determine ladder, lift, protection and scheduling requirements.
No. There is no minimum project size, but the $350 minimum service charge applies.
